Thank you 5000 Times! SFBT Moments Volume 223

I can’t believe this, but we are at 5,000 subscribers to my YouTube channel, which just feels like, amazing. It’s so touching. So humbling. So surreal to me that 5,000 people have subscribed to my YouTube channel because for me, it all started in a very, very simple way. I was on YouTube one day and I was thinking, and just like everybody else, I was just lost in the sea of YouTube YouTube videos, watching, you know, cat videos and funny cips and whatever I was watching.

And I started wondering like, I wonder what people find when they search for Solution Focused Brief Therapy here on YouTube. And I found really inaccurate depictions of the way Solution Focused Brief Therapy works. I saw videos that had tens of thousands of views that were grossly inaccurate, describing Solution Focused Therapy. And in some cases doing role plays in Solution Focused Brief Therapy that were like offensively inaccurate to the work that I was doing.

So people don’t really believe this about me, but I’m a tremendous introvert. Being in front of the camera is not easy for me, but doing this is a labor for me, a labor of love, but it isn’t, it is definitely a labor. But I just couldn’t live in a world where people would search and find this information and not know that it’s inaccurate. So I decided I wanted to make Solution Focused Brief Therapy more accessible to more people, but presented in a way that was user-friendly, that was digestible, and that had integrity that was actually accurate.

So I started making videos that people could access and use as a resource in their Solution Focused journey. And it was quickly apparent to me that people would watch these videos and people enjoyed the videos and really cool people send me really cool messages reaching out to me about these videos. I just can’t believe the, like the following that, that has developed, the relationship I have with the followers.

What you all mean to me and how you touch and inspire and encourage me. And it’s funny, I was up this morning, getting ready, I’m going to do a webinar in a little bit and getting ready and have a look at YouTube, I was like, we’re right at 5,000 subscribers. And you know, other people, I see people YouTube channels with millions of subscribers and that’s cool, like good on them. But to me like this 5,000, it’s so surreal. These are 5,000 people that enjoy my content to such a degree that they subscribe to my channel. They hit the bell, they get notified and they watched my videos and let me know that they enjoy them. And that means the world to me, I’m going to keep pushing out content.

We’re going to keep making Solution Focused Brief Therapy accessible. We’re going to keep making this approach digestible. I’m going to keep developing material that has integrity and shows you the way this approach works, because I want you to get confident and get skilled and what your client’s to benefit from seeing a therapist who knows what they’re doing with this approach so seriously, thank you so much. If you’ve enjoyed any of my videos like this video, share this video, tell your friends about my Channel, because I’d like to get another 5,000.
